Gentle hand wash only in cool water using a delicate (or wool specific) detergent.

Do not tumble dry. Hang to dry in shade – smoothing out the eye mask whilst it is wet will ensure it looks its best when dry.

Low heat iron using barrier cloth if needed, max 110°c

The natural linen becomes softer and more lustrous with use. Kind Face™ products might have small imperfections due to the nature of being 100% handmade.

Why Choose the Linen+Wisewool Sleep Mask?

You might ask: "Why did you include wool in a sleep mask?

That's a good question! - We say: "Wool is incredible, why not?"

Wool has super-natural powers in moisture-wicking and regulating temperature, but it also has an inherent resistance to dust mites, bacteria and fungus, ensuring a hygienic and healthy sleep environment. It is also naturally hypoallergenic, making it perfect for those with sensitive skin or allergies.

You might notice a slight lanolin scent. It is actually proof the Wisewool batting is as pure as possible. The scent will dissapear over time with washing and airing.

Enhance your sleep quality

One ingredient we couldn’t include in the sleep mask is lavender, which is proven to help sleep quality.

You will find lavender inside our Weighted Eye Masks and other Wellness products, but as the Linen+Wisewool Sleep Mask is washable it just wasn’t possible to include.

We have tested many different lavender based mists and sprays on the sleep mask and they perform beautifully. If you decide to try one yourself, please test it on a small patch of linen first to ensure it doesn’t stain or soak through the layers.

Stonewashed Linen

Stonewashed linen is a luxurious and versatile textile known for its exceptional softness and unique texture. Its remarkable breathability and moisture-wicking properties ensure comfort in various climates, while its durability guarantees long-lasting use.

Our Turkish stonewashed linen has been awarded the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificate - this means it is completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use. To attain Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, the fabric has been tested and certified to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances known to be harmful to human health.

Wisewool 200gsm 'Blanketing'

Wisewool source their premium strong wool clip from a select number of farms in the Tairāwhiti Gisborne region, before it heads to their factory in Te Poi, Waikato.

Wisewool's superior 100% wool blanketing uses needle-punching to mechanically interlock the wool fibres.

This enhances the super-natural properties of wool, stops the fill from shifting and clumping, eliminates 'cold spots' and ensures a longer lifespan than regular wool duvets.

Plus, it keeps synthetics away from your bedding and our beautiful environment.

Japara Cotton

Japara cotton fabric is a natural product which is made of quality cotton infused with a paraffin-based wax.

It is then finely woven into a very durable cloth with a thick texture plus a silky feel and look.

It is also found to be less susceptible to liquids and other staining elements.

The tightly woven construction of Japara cotton fabric provides a luxurious feel, hypoallergenic and moisture-wicking properties.

As the FAQ identifies, Kind Face can't guarantee that the Kind Face + Wise Wool face mask will make you sleep better but my user experience has definitely improved my sleep post nightshifts. The lightweight blackout functionality coupled with the undeniable feeling of organic linen against the skin is a recipe for sleep success. Knowing this design and manufacture is 100% Aotearoa is yet another reason to sleep easy.

Great Mask

I love the linen and wise wool mask. It felt tight at first but after first use it was fine. Great blackout and very lightweight. I thought wool might be hot on my face but it isn’t and feels very comfortable. I would recommend this mask.

This mask is awesome ~ I have a big head and have struggled to find a sleep mask that isn’t too tight. This mask fits perfectly and doesn’t put too much pressure on my eyes. The material is soft and sturdy, feels like good quality.
